APAHF: Speaker Event

Hey everyone! A few weeks ago, we had a very special guest visit us: Hasan Minhaj! Hasan is known for his role as a Senior Correspondent on the Daily Show, as well as being the guest speaker at the 2017 White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

Every year, we invite a speaker to campus as part of APASA’s annual Asian Pacific American Heritage Festival. With the Speaker Event, we aim to celebrate the successes of Asian Americans, as well as share the challenges and journeys these figures have faced along the way.

Hasan gave a hilarious performance filled with political commentary, shedding light on the highs and lows of being an Asian American in the modern day — a thought-provoking discussion that many of us in the audience could relate to in one way or another. Bovard echoed with the roars of our laughter that night; especially for those lucky enough to snag meet-and-greet tickets, it was an unforgettable show. Thanks to all those who came out!

Stay tuned for many more exciting events for APAHF! We’d love to see you there.
